Today my age was listed as 55 in our local newspaper and considering I am 68, that was nice. I will not age gracefully, I will be pulled into the aging process kicking and screaming. I have seen old age and I don't like it. I may age in my body but I will fight to stay conherent and ready to meet and greet each day with vigor, as long as it starts after 10:00 am.
I am not a morning person. Anyone who knows me will attest to that fact. I may arise from my bed at 7:00 am but my mental faculties, such as they are, do not come into being until around noon. I tend to lose things while sitting still and forget what it is I am looking for upon entering a room. My motto is "O Well" as the older I get the less it seems to matter.
My oldest tells me I will never be in an accident I will just cause them. Humph! I do tend to get distracted easily but that is nothing new and it keeps life interesting. Boredom has never been one of my problems, nor has it ever been a problem to my husband, of which I have had two. The first died in a plane crash. That was hard. My second is still being challenged on a daily basis. He is patient, kind and loving so it works out wonderfully.
Aside from my husband and children and grandchildren, my next love are our pets. We have two dogs, neither of which we chose, and four cats inside, again only one which was actually chosen the rest being strays God delivered to our door. We also have three barn kitties who are absolutely wonderful and as my husband says, are working cats. They seem to do their job of keeping the pack rats and mice out of the wiring in the farm implements and that keeps my husband very happy. My indoor kitties are strickly for my enjoyment. The dogs are for the necessary annoyance factor in every home. However, they are extremely good at making lots of racket if a visitor arrives so they are helpful.
My daughter talked me into playing farmville on facebook and I probably could be considered addicted possibly. However, during this election period FV has had to take a backseat to getting the right people elected. Those of us involved have worked, walked and prayed hard and often. We will know how we did this Tuesday. I am a Conservative and involved in the Tea Party movement as the parties both seem to have missed the boat on the important message of reinstating the Constitution. This has become a passion of mine and I will do what I can to further that cause for the rest of my life.
Well, this is getting far too serious so I am going to quit at my first attempt at blogging and go to bed. I like going to bed. I can't wait for standard time to be re-instated! It is absolutely not fair that it is now split 50/50. It seems almost everyone in my family, except me, loves daylight time so I will continue to try and be nice about it, but probably never will be happy about it.
So good night all...tomorrow will be another day God has granted us to enjoy His blessings..Yea!
